Stock Show 2nd weekend

Well we survived our 2nd weekend of the stock show and we are headed back again this weekend. We drove to Ft Worth on Friday night stopping at the Bass Pro Shop to eat some really good seafood. She loved seeing the deer, bears, fish, raccoons and all the other wild animals. All except the skunk that was in the tent. I don't blame her I didn't like getting to close to that either. The food was delicious and I would recommend anyone going there to eat. At the stock show she loves seeing the animals and going to get chocolate milk from Elsie. This photo was priceless. I know you cant tell but Addy actually ate her first sandwich here at the show. I have tried several times to get her to eat one but she will have nothing to do with it. I know you are saying you at the fair eat all the bad food there for you but that cost way to much money!! My mom fixed her a sandwich and I knew she would not eat it. Well she proved me wrong. I had to put a chip inside the bread and she went to town. Not only did she eat one but TWO that day!!!Of course we had to go swimming. This was it was just us girls!!! Me, Addy and Nana had a blast in the pool and the hot tub. It was so cute when the older girls got in the hot tub she acted so much older. And yes she loves her new cowboy boots as you can tell. She wore them both days we were there.
Of course we had to stop at the Crackle Barrel to eat on the way home. Who can pass up some good dumplings and home cooking. We also shared some Coca Cola Cake with ice cream. YYUUUMMMMYYYY is all I can say. We promised Addy if she would eat good she could get a prize. She has not been eating the best lately so you have to do what you have to do. Well she chose pop rocks and had a blast eating them all the way home. As you can tell she had them all over her face!!

Chamber Banquet

Last night was the Mt. Pleasant/Titus County Chamber of Commerce Banquet. I have served on the board for the past 3 years. We enjoyed a great dinner of pork loin, potatoes, beans and bread. The theme was denim and diamonds!!!! The civic center was decorated in a country theme with a band playing. I was presented a plaque for serving on the board. We were in such a hurry to take pictures before we left but we got a few when we got home. Thanks to my parents for keeping Addy while we attended this event. Addy wanted in on the pictures when we got home!!

Addy took this picture of me.

Ft Worth Stock Show 1st weekend

This past Friday we loaded the truck and headed to Ft Worth for the Ft Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. We have a trailer booth set up at the show we go and work. The show goes on for 27 days. Addy was so excited and couldn't wait to go to see the animals and stay in the hotel. We started the day off walking through and seeing all the animals. She loved getting to touch all of them, taking a picture with the baby goats (I will have to post picture later) , seeing the chickens hatch and watching the goats drink a bottle. I can't tell you how many times we went to see this baby calf. It was Elsie's (Borden Milk Cow)baby. She loved going and petting him and drinking the chocolate milk. she was so excited about being there and eating a corn dog!!Looking at the baby chickens and seeing how they hatched out of the eggs.

She didn't have school on Monday so she got to stay an extra day in Ft Worth to help mommy and daddy work. she is such a great helper!!

Showing Romo how to throw the ball. This was taken before the game. After the game every time we walked by she would say "Oh Romo he played bad." Yes he did. We had a big screen on top of the trailer so we could watch it. I stopped watching it before halftime.

She loved the ears so much that she wore them everyday and even wore them to school on Monday!!

She loved swimming in the pool at the hotel. She went everyday that we were there. Got to love the orange ear plugs.

Of course we had to do some shopping to. Look at these cute shoes she got. This was just one thing out of many things that she got. We will be going back for 3 more weekends.

Bunco PJ Style!!!

Last night was Bunco night with the girls and the theme was PJ/Lounge!!! Me and Kerri met at Christy's house to ride with her. We were going to take Christy's car but she went to crank it and it wouldn't crank. The battery must have been dead. So we piled up in mine which I had to stop to get gas and we had to get dice to take to Brandice's house. Brandice had great slumber party type foods with pizza, chips, and dips. I was actually a winner this time for the first time. I had the lowest score and won a cute cross, Christy also won a cross and Kerri won a glass. Girls we need to ride together more often if we are going to win!!! Thanks Brandice for such a great time and hosting Bunco this month. We all can't wait again until next time!!!!

The Cowboys played a great. We can't wait to watch them next weekend to. Addy was still excited about football on Sunday night she had to wear her Romo jersey again even though the Cowboys were not playing. Looks like we may have a die hard Romo fan in our home!!
Her and daddy were telling me that the Cowboys are #1!!!

2010 What a year so far!

Well this year has been a little crazy for the Long family. Thank goodness we have our little angel to help make things better. She is always on the go and never wants to stop. She is growing up so fast. For 2 years old I have to brag she is so advance. She can set and carry on an adult conversation with you in big sentences. She knows so much. As you can tell below she loves her jump house so much. We blow it up in the garage during these cold days and we jump for hours.
I love this outfit so much. It was a gift from Aunt Darla and Kayci and she looks so adorable in it.
News Years was a little hard on the family this year. Addy is not much into fireworks either so we don't get to do those. She was willing to hold a sparkler outside with pops and that is as far at it went. I can't believe my little cousin Tyler turned 16 this week. We took him to his first birthday dinner a couple of days before at Shoguns. Boy was the food awesome!!! Addy didn't like the fire or the food so we had to take her to McDonalds afterwards. I ate and ate and ate and even ate more on the way home!!! below you will see Addy, Pops, Nana and TylerFor his 2nd birthday dinner the family took him to El Chico's. He hated wearing the hat or them singing to him. Happy Birthday Tyler!!! Kayci and me with the birthday boy

We love when friends come over to play. Addy took Ava for a joy ride on her new Gator. These girls have so much fun together and could play for hours.
Then they jumped in the bounce house and played with the balls. It was so cold outside but it didn't seem to stop these two girls from still having fun.

She Did Great!!

We pulled out of the house at 6am Thursday morning headed to Sulphur Springs. Addy had to be at the hospital by 6:45 to start prepping to have tubes in her ears. When we pulled up she knew something was going on. My poor baby started getting upset. They took us to her room we talked to the nurses and got her clothes changed. We both got to walk back to the room before they took her to the OR. The OR nurse was so nice and gave her a coloring book to help keep her mind off of things. After we spoke to the Dr they took her out of Jeremy's arms to start the surgery. Yes I was crying because I couldn't stand watching my baby taken away to go through she didn't know was about to happen. No more than 2mins after we got back in her room waiting the phone rang saying they had started. about 5mins later the Dr walked in the room and said he was done. He said she did great and it took less than 5mins to put them in. After she stayed in recovery for a few minutes they brought her back to the room. she woke up not very happy and scared not knowing what had happened. After we calmed her down she was ok until she had to eat. That's when she was the most upset because she didn't want to eat or drink anything. Finally she did and we got to head home. We were back on the road by 8:45. Everyone at the hospital were extremely nice. Besides giving her the colors they gave her juice, Popsicles, jello, cereal, etc just to make her happy. once we got in the car and even today you can't tell that she even had it done. I hope this makes her feel so much better for years to come.

Tomorrow is the Day

Well tomorrow is the day I have been dreading for weeks. We have to be at the hospital at 6:45am for Addy to start prepping for tubes to be put in her ears. They should start everything at 7:30 and we should be out of there within an hour. I know she will be fine and they will make her feel so much better. The part I am dreading most is then taking her off to OR crying and I can't be back there with her. (I am hoping they will see how she is and let me go on back.) She is a strong fighter when it comes to doctors and just driving by one. She comes by it honest with me though. So please pray that this will stop all of ear problems and mommy will be ok to.

Why So Young?

You always wonder why do the young ones always go so fast. It just don't seem right to me. I lost my 21year old cousin to cancer 2 months ago and now another cousin at 23.

We stayed home on New Years Eve night because the night before my little cousin lost his life. You always dread the late night calls you get while you are sleeping. Our phone rang at 2am on December 31st at it was my mom telling me that my little cousin had been killed. He was only 23 years old and full of life! He was at a concert and another guy pulled a knife and took his life. Ashley was a handsome man and always lived life to the fullest. He always took up for everyone and was every ones friends. Whatever you needed he was always there for you. The service was beautiful and the Marines did such a great job. William Ashley Domino you will be missed so much
