Great Week!!

This beautiful weather has made for some great days. We have been having a blast playing outside every afternoon till dark. We played all day sunday. Then on Monday afternoon Pops called and said he was going to play golf. well, you know Jeremy wanted to go and Addy and I decided to go with them. Addy had a blast running around and trying to hit the ball. They just informed me today and we can't go everytime. I guess we messed up their game.

Last night we played outside till dark with Jacob. Now that they sold their house I don't know what we are going to do. Addy just makes herself welcome and tries to walk on it. I hope the new neighbor is really friendly.

A wonderful community!!!

Cory and his family
My Aunt Darla and my mom

A wonderful croud of people

Do you ever stop and think about how wonderful your community is? We had so many wonderful people that turned out for Leslie's benefit last weekend. It was a great turn out with lots of good food, music, auction, slide show and lots of money raised for such a great family. There were so many times through out the night that I would tear up just thinking of my sweet beautiful cousin going through what she is. She was unable to attend due to the chemo sickness. Lu is an absolutely gorgeous young woman and does not deserve to be going through what she is. Our family loves her more than anything and wishes her a fast recovery. Please continue to pray for her each and everyday. We love you LU LU!!

Benefit for Leslie

Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction in support of Leslie Reynolds Adamek
Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Skidmore’s Big Building off Greenhill Road on CR 1612 in Mt. Pleasant from 4 - 8 p.m.

Leslie has been battling a rare form of cancer for many years. She was first diagnosed and treated as a teenager and was then declared in remission for an extended period of time. Numerous testing and repeated trips to Houston-based MD Anderson revealed that Leslie’s cancer has returned. After extensive surgeries and completing radiation treatment, she is currently in the midst of undergoing chemotherapy. Please join us in the fight to help this amazing young woman.

The event will feature music while you enjoy a BBQ dinner or hot dogs for the kids and browse a silent auction and bake sale. The evening will end with a raffle drawing for the winner of a $500 cash prize. Event tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Raffle tickets are $5.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a blast for the most part. We started off Friday night with Addy giving daddy a predicure. Which she gives him one almost every night and she is really good. We actually convinced him in letting us paint his toes. I promised him I would not put them online anywhere but I had to. On Saturday she got her first hair cut and loved it so much. Thanks Nycolle at 8-Twenty One for such an awesome job on mine and Addy's hair. After picking Jeremy up and having a great dinner at Chili's we went to hunt eggs with Jacob. They had blast but were more worried about the plane above, candy and riding their 4-wheelers. Addy rides Jacob's (non-electric) and Jacob rides Addy's (electric) 4 wheelers. He pushed her everywhere it is so cute. Sunday morning we got up to dye easter eggs and see what the Easter bunny brought us. We enjoyed a nice lunch at my parents while Addy got to hunt inside due to the rain. We all had a blast.

Easter PArty

Well it's been a week since I have been on here. Nothing too exciting happening around here lately. Yesterday was Addy's first Easter party at school. they started off with an egg hunt. Addy went for the plastic eggs, she would would shake them, then take the money or candy out then put the egg back down. She did not care anything about the egg just what was inside. All the kids had a blast. We all went back inside to enjoy lots of good snacks and juice. I know they can't wait till the next party.

We went to watch Cutter and Colton play baseball last night. Addy loved it. We got out of there just in time before the storm hit. It started to rain as we were walking to the car. The weather was a little scary last but we luckily missed all the bad stuff. The tornado sirens are pretty much in my back yard and I never even heard them go off. My parents live 4 miles from us and they had to call and tell me. They did get hail but we didn't. I feel for the people in Hughes Springs, TX and Mena, AR. We are headed out tonight to watch Ty play some Varisty Baseball in Omaha.
