Lake Charles, LA

This past weekend we had to head to Lake Charles, LA to work. It was a long 6hr drive but we made it. We headed straight for the pool at the hotel. We had a great swim in the big pool and the hot tub. That night we headed to my favorite restaurant Steamboat Bills!!!! I was a little upset they were out of fried craw fish tails so I had to settle with popcorn shrimp. I am not a big seafood eater as you can tell. After that we headed over to the casino just to look around, eat ice cream, shop and enjoy some arcade time. We all tore up the skew ball. Addy loved playing all the games and winning tons of stickers. The fountain was so pretty outside! She loved looking out at the water and all the big boats!!Playing some ball with Pops!! They were excited they won really big on this game. Addy was counting the stickers up that she could win.

Showing daddy how it was done!
Skipping through the casino. She had such a great time!!

After working all day Friday we headed back over to the casino for a seafood buffet. I know it seems we spent lots of time at the casino but no one even gambled. I was completely stuffed when we got done. I did try my first boudin ball and king crab claw. I really liked the boudin ball but the crab was way to complicated to eat for such little meat. I ate my American food and then it was time for the desserts!!!!!!!!!!! This is where I got so stuffed. I tried the peach cobbler (bad), cheesecake (bad), and oh the chocolate cake!!! It was so rich yet so good. I really wanted the cream brulee and the red velvet cake but decided I had had enough for one night. So I got Addy up and we headed back to the arcade for a little more fun. Then once back at the hotel it was time for more swimming. The swimming must have worn her out because she slept for 12 long hours Friday night.

Oh how I love this sweet face so much!!!!

Green Thumb (we hope)

Last week me and Addy had the day together. She was out for Spring Break so I took a day. We had such a fun filled day. We had lunch at McDonald's where we stayed and played for about 2 hours, then we headed to CVS and then over to Walgreen's. She was still not ready to go home. She kept saying let's go somewhere. She has been asking for a purple flower in her room so she decided she wanted to go to Lowe's. How many 2yr old do you know that want to go to Lowe's and get flowers?? So we found these cute little Big Bird sunflowers that you grow in your room in its own little green house. We hope they grow!!She had to press the seeds down in the dirt!!
Now it was time to water them

Then once the green house was on it was time to decorate!!!!

Here is the purple flower she picked out. I don't know anything about flowers but this was the only inside purple flower there. We took it outside to place it in the pot that she chose. I told her to put in the vase. She grabbed it and threw it in there! She said oh gross that is dirt and that got my hands dirty. LOL

This was it finally after we got it in. I hope it stays this pretty!

Mr Bouncy Cow Needs a Bath Too.....

Addy decided that if she had to take a bath so did Mr Cow!! She loved giving him a bath and trying to ride him in the water. Silly girl!!

The things little girls do!!

This weekend Addy got to go to Wal Mart because she has been doing so good on the potty and get a prize plus Nana gave her money just because. Of course what does any little girl want finger nail polish and make-up. Once she starts painting be ready to have every nail every color that she has. She did hers first that day. Then Pops and Nana took us out to eat a fish dinner and ice cream afterwards. Once we got home she got started painting again but this time it was Nana and Pops fingers and toes she got to paint.

OK so last night my sweet child wanted some chocolate pudding. She headed off in to her playroom to play on the computer. A few minutes later she come running in to our room with no pants on. I said Addy where are your pants and she said they are really dirty. I bet they are knowing that she looks like this......

Yes my child had pudding all over her arms. She looked like she had a mud bath. She was so excited but thank goodness it was no where else but her arms.

Happy Birthday Kerri!

Last week my friend Kerri celebrated her 30th birthday. Wow 30!! I can't believe I will be that age this month to. We celebrated her birthday at a local restaurant with cake, balloons and gifts. Hope you had a great birthday Kerri!!!!!
