Berries & Peaches

On Sunday morning we headed to Greer Farms in Daingerfield for some berry picking. There are several rows of blackberry's and blueberries for you to pick. You can pick as many as you want or at least as long as you can stand the heat! Addy had all of her equipment and was geared up to start picking berries! She loved picking the berries and reminded us not to pick the red ones only the black ones!She did a great job picking out the big ones! Her and Nana had buckets full.

She got a little tired and hot so decided to take a ride in the wagon and pick the blueberries. After picking a few she had Pops take her on a tour of the berry patch.

These are all the blueberries I picked and I even made homemade blueberry muffins. I hate that I did not get a picture of them. Jeremy said he liked them but I really like them in a box better! haha

After picking berries we headed over to Pittsburg for some peaches. Addy loves it because right when you walk in they give you a free peach.But what she really wanted was some ice cream. She had strawberry, while I had the twist of peach and strawberry and Pops had just peach. It was really good and perfect for a hot day.
We headed over to the pond to see this. Only in East Texas would you see this.

So on Sunday morning we headed to Longview to do some shopping and take Jeremy along with my dad out to eat for Father's Day!! We did some shopping for Addy's birthday coming up and then headed to eat the Butcher Shop! yum yum they have the best burgers!! After eating we headed over to the pet shop. I was thinking we were going to buy one big fish to replace Tiger but things didn't happen that way. We come home with 3 new pets!!!! Yes 3!

Below we have our fist pet we picked out a snail! She loves snails since she learned about them in school. I have to say he is really neat and I like him as well.

Johnny and June had to check out the friends they were gettingAs you can see our other 2 pets are a frog at the top and a sucker fish on the far right side. Addy does not call him a sucker fish but she calls him her "poo poo" fish since he cleans the tank!!Addy took this picture of her snail!

Our hope our new pets enjoy us as much as we enjoy them!!

On another sad note we woke up this morning to find Johnny didn't make it either. I don't know how daddy is going to explain this one

Such a sad day.....

For the past couple of weeks our Koi fish "Tiger" has been sick! We do the day was coming. My Aunt Sheri gave these 3 fish (Tiger, Johnny & June) to Addy back in November. These fish belonged to my little cousin Leslie whom passed away. So with them being Lu's they were even more special to us. As you can tell by the pictures Tiger was huge. I mean huge he was about 8 inches long! On Saturday morning we noticed we was barely moving at all. I was not ready for what was about to happen and didn't expect it to go the way it did. Jeremy headed to work that morning and I kept an eye on him. Not long after Addy woke up she headed to check on him because she knew he was sick. The tears started to flow once she noticed he was not moving at the bottom of the tank. She went back a few minutes later to tell me he was just sleeping. Then I had to explain that Tiger didn't make and he was going to Zoo Heaven. That was the hardest thing because she cried so bad for such a long time. I had to call Jeremy because she was screaming and bawling. Which that made mommy cry to. She told everyone she saw about poor Tiger. She now says Tiger is in heaven with Jesus and LuLu is watching him swim. She knows Jesus come down to get him while she went swimming that afternoon.

Happy Birthday George!!!

This sweet little boy Mr George turned 1 last week. Addy was excited to head over to his house to help him celebrate. It only fit him that he had a Curious George party and it was so cute. George's big sister is Ava that Addy plays with and they are also our neighbors!Addy learned how to pull the end of the balloon to make it fly through the air. The kids thought that was a blast.Then it was time to head outside to hit the pinata! Like I said Addy just loves George. I thought these photo's were so sweet of them inside the play house and playing together. He really wanted to get his hands on her sucker. He is still looking at that sucker trying to figure out how he can get that thing.

Happy Birthday Kayci!!

My little cousin turned 15 last weekend. I can't believe she is growing up so fast. Guess that just means I am getting older!! She had a swimming party at her house with all her friends and we got to join the fun! Of course my little fish was excited to be in the pool. she went all over the pool all by herself even the deep end. She loved the cold water coming down from the slide.

Wine Time!!!

Last weekend us girls headed the winery for a little girl talk!! We had so much chit chatting, eating and drinking some wine. I love these girls so much because they are so much fun!!!

I can't wait for our next girls night!!

Baseball Runs in the Family

We love to go and watch daddy play softball!! Last weekend during a tournament between games Addy headed out on the field to run the bases. She had so much fun and was so hot running. She had made it to home plate and was safe!!!!!!

She was standing and playing shortstop just like daddy does!

Then it was time for a little play time in the dirt!!!! She was covering her brand new shoes in the dirt!!! Oh well she was having fun. We can't wait until she starts playing baseball herself!!!

Rodeo Time!!!

A few weekends ago we had our annual rodeo here in Mt. Pleasant. Addy loves going to the rodeo to watch the girls run barrels and the bull riding. I think she clapped and cheered for everyone that night that come out.She loves bull riding!! She saw the mechanical bull and had to ride it. All smiles from this little girl.She even put her hand up like a real bull rider. She said she was riding like Mike White!!!

We can't wait to go back to the rodeo again next year!!

TLC Fun Day

TLC had fun day on the last day of school. This was a sad day for us being our last day at this school. We had some tears shed but great memories were mad in these classrooms. The weather was great for all the outside play. The kids enjoyed eating snow cones... Jumping in the bounce house. Oh yes we even played a game of ring around the roses! all of us had a blast and mommy had to get involved!Me and my sweet baby girl. I was lucky to get to be involved in this fun day.
Addy even got Miss NIkki in for a little jump time.

Stamps and face painting were also a big hit. The kids couldn't enough stamps on them.

They also enjoyed the sand box, bubbles and the water sprinklers. Thanks TLC for having such a fun day for the kids!!

End of year program!

A couple of weeks ago TLC had the end of year school program. This was a sad night for me. This was Addy's last year at TLC as we are going to a new school next year. All of the kids did an awesome job singing their songs!!!! I love to listen to those little voices singing.Yes that is my sweet child in the front. What is she doing? Oh yes she is raising her dress to look at the little balls hanging on the front. Always like Addy stealing the show!!!!!Each child got an award that night from their teacher! What else would Addy be awarded but "Best Story Teller" She can come up with some great stories to tell on you or anyone else. She was so excited to get her award from Miss Nikki!
Addy has been at TLC since she was one and now she is almost 3. We will miss the school and our teachers very much. We love Miss NIkki and Miss Kerri both so much. Miss Nikki thank you so much for everything you taught Addy this past year. She has truly learned so much from you and we great appreciate your hard work and dedication. Even that you taught her the splits, soccer, how to shake her booty, ballet and several other things. lol Remember she did get Best Story Teller!!
